Ballparks Open Today

Around the county today, baseball parks open up for the first time this year to take on another 162 game season. Baseball's my favorite sport so I've been waiting for this day to come since last October.

I had mentioned a long time ago in this post about how ballparks were feeding people like they've never eaten before, and that the stuff they were feeding them wasn't the best.

I think I found something that topped that. This article talks about how a burger is going to be served at the West Michigan White Caps games this year that contains 4,800 calories.

You read that right. 4,800 calories. Take a look at the picture.

What's in it?

The 4-pound, $20 burger features five beef patties, five slices of cheese, nearly a cup of chili and liberal doses of salsa and corn chips, all on an 8-inch sesame-seed bun.

What do you get if you eat the whole thing by yourself? A FREAKIN' T-SHIRT! Great to see ballparks haven't quite hit bottom yet on their ingenious food inventions.

Thanks to Chris Standish for sending this along.

And let's see those Spartans bring home a basketball championship tonight.
